ADVENTURE

The Cape is a place screaming for adventure. The nature everywhere, the oceans, the mountains. Walking, cycling, diving, surfing, fishing, climbing, abseiling ..... it all within easy reach. But adventures are not always about adrenaline and fear. The wonder of walking through the National Parks and being taken in by the flora; the joy of sitting on the edge of the water, overlooking the strength of the oceans meeting; the adventure of discovering the art of wine-making in Stellenbosch ... it's all an adventure. The Cape in all its richness, with all its fascinating aspects, its history ... this is what will make this place special to anyone.

At Zensa Lodge we can accomodate private diving lessons for beginners, our instructor coming in with all the equipment to teach you the first steps (!) of exploring the world under water.

THE OCEAN

The 2 oceans surrounding the Cape peninsula are world renowned for some spectacular and unique features. Every year whales come to our coasts to mate and breed. The Great White Sharks in False Bay breach while predating on the surface. Cage-diving with sharks is easy to organise. But in season we fish our own Crayfish right here off the beach. Spear fishing with one of our guides can be arranged on short notice. Snorkling or diving near the many ship wrecks that surround the Cape is an attractive option as well. The water is cold, so renting a wet suit will be neccesary; but to then discover this magic underwater world will be a memorable experience.

THE LAND

The Cape features its unique vegetation: Fynbos. Especially in the National Parks, all around us, one can see the most spectacular vegetation and flowers. Mountains cover the Southern peninsula, creating a spectacular decor. Chapmans Peak drive, only 15 kilometers away, is considered one of the most scenic drives in the world. Table Mountain is now on the list of being one of the New7Wonders of the world. Historic Cape Town is a fascinating place, a place where many cultures meet; a liberal place with many wonderful restaurants and places to go.

DAY TRIPS

There are many, many day trips to be done from our place. A day to the wine lands; visiting Boulders with its unique penguin colony; visiting the Mother City; go for a hike in the mountains; go visit Kalk Bay and its harbour and many cute little shops. Of course there is stuff not to be missed: Cape Of Good Hope; Table Mountain; The Waterfront; Robben Island, the island where Mandela spent 18 years of prison life. The list goes on and on.
